Brighton Crossing creates a high density urban fabric using a combination of three and four unit row homes in conjunction with three story 12 unit condominiums. The row homes form a distinct neighborhood around public/common area open spaces, served by rear entry service alleys.
The 12 unit condominiums are stair stepped down the hillside working with the topography. The second floor of each 12 unit building accesses the parking lot via a pedestrian bridge; therefore, two of the three floors are ADA accessible.
The vision of Brighton Crossing was to create a comprehensive plan that integrates multi-family housing with the adjacent commercial development. The concept was to develop complimentary land uses which support one another, forming a synergistic relationship. As suburban development continues to expand, proactive development can counteract suburban sprawl’s adverse impact by providing close associations of employment and housing. |
