Zona Rosa is a 90 acre mixed use, town center development located at the intersection of I-29 and NW Barry Road in Kansas City, Missouri. This development was unique to the Kansas City area, sitting in one of the area’s fastest growing corridors. Working with both Platte County and City of Kansas City, Steiner +Associates as owner/developer was able to bring over 1,300,000 square feet of planned mixed use development to the northland of Kansas City, Missouri, including over 925,000 square feet of retail shops. Significant infrastructure improvements to support the development included the complete reconstruction and realignment of NW Prairie View Road, construction of multiple public streets within the development and the construction of a large scale parking structure, making up part of the over 2,700 parking spaces designed and constructed. Zona Rosa held its opening of the second and final phase fall 2008, anchored by a major national retailer.
