The CenterPoint Intermodal Center KCis a large scale Distribution and Intermodal Facility located just west of US 71 Hwy along Missouri Route 150 Hwy. Previously known as the Richards Gebaur Airbase, CenterPoint Properties has initiated a redevelopment project taking an abandon Air Force Base from the acquisition stage through site remediation and restoration to infrastructure development and construction. The overall ultimate build out of the Distribution and Intermodal Facility will incorporate over 1400 acres, capitalizing on its centralized location and hub of the Transcontinental and NAFTA trade corridors and the presence of the Kansas City Southern Railroad as an anchor tenant, partner, and main line rail provider. Phase I provided for mass grading and infrastructure improvements in excess of $15M supporting over 350 acres of multi-phased warehouse distribution or manufacturing sites. These sites would accommodate the 100,000 square feet warehouse as well as the 200 acre multi-building complex including the ability to house 1.5M square feet under one roof.
